A Civil Engineer with 25 years of working with universities, corporations and governments and international organisations, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean.
He has worked as a consultant for EU, UNDP, UNECA, UNICEF, WHO, UNEP, UNFCCC, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), World Bank, African Development Bank (AfDB), OAU, Action Aid International, Government of Haiti, Government of the Gambia, City of Karlsruhe/Germany, Deutsche Forschungs-gemeinschaft, Deutsche Gesellschaft fϋr Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), GAP Consultants and several other international consulting agencies.
Yves M. Lamour is a former Chief Technical Advisor of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) assigned to The Gambia (2004-2006). Dr. Lamour has now profiled himself has a foremost environmental and socio-economic impact assessor in the Gambia and has been working on various types of projects. The following projects/studies could be mentioned in particular: Development of a Low Emission Climate Resilient Development Strategy (LECRDS) for the Gambia (in progress) EIA/ESMP : GALP Liquid Petroleum Bottling Plant; Brikama Solar Park for CAMAC International €34 million ‘Greater Banjul Area Water Supply Project’ (2007).
