Worked for 4 years as the Minister for youth and Sports in the Gambia. He had previous served in the area of youth and development as Assitstant Director of the National Youth Service Scheme and Later as the coordinator of the National Enterprise Development Initiative (NEDI) The NEDI is hinged on the strategy of making basic necessities accessible to all through the active participation of the Gambian youth and women.
Sheriff was the first coordinator of the UNDP Gamjobs for the creation of youth and women employment. He has dedicated his career in Providing life skills to vulnerable Youth employability. Currently Sheriff Is responsible for social enterprise development in EMHOLDING and is responsible for the development of the EMPAS Poultry
Outgrower scheme. The scheme seeks to create an equitable and sustainable relationship between EMPAS and the contract farmer and the emphasis is focused of Supply and Value Chain optimisation for profitable operations..
